| dc.description | El siguiente estudio tuvo por objetivo adaptar y evaluar un método de estimulación temprana de relaciones espaciales y permanencia objetal en niños ciegos entre los 0 y 2 años. El método consiste en un microambiente cerrado por los cuatro costados y permite que el niño esté en permanente contacto con juguetes que cuelgan del cielo. El método se estudió durante un año en una muestra de 7 niños -cinco de ellos con daño cerebral asociado-, en base a una pauta de observación del comportamiento de los niños al ser expuestos a éste. Se probó, además, su efecto sobre el nivel de desarrollo psicomotor y el desarrollo de permanencia objetal y relaciones espaciales de los niños que participaron de la experiencia. Los resultados permiten concluir que existe un efecto del método sobre el nivel general de activación de los niños, especialmente el jeugo y los manierismos. Respecto de los efectos del método sobre el desarrollo psicomotor general, sólo se observó una diferencia en los dos niños son daño cerebral asociado. La evaluación del desarrollo de la permanencia objetal y las relaciones espaciales, que sólo pudo ser realizada en los niños sin daño asociado, arrojó que permiten ubicar a ambos niños en niveles normales para su edad. | es-ES |
| dc.description | This study adaptated and evaluated a method used for early stimulation of spatial relations and object permanence in blind children between 0 and 2 years of age. The method consists of a microenvironment closed by its four sides that provides the opportunity for the child to be in permanent contact with toys hanged from the roof. The method was tested in a sample of 7 blind children during one year. Five of them had also brain damage. A standard observation schedule of the behavior of the children inside the microenvironment was used. The effect of the method over the development of object permanence and spatial relations and over the psychomotor development was also tested. The results let us conclude that there was an effect of the method over the general level of activation of the children especially over games and stereotyped behaviors. A difference over the level of general psychomotor activity was observed in the two children without brain damage. The evaluation of object permanence and spatial relations was done only for the children without associated damage and the results put both children at normal levels of development for their ages. | en-US |
