| dc.description | Este artículo revisa algunas propuestas de unificación de la psicología, en especial la de Arthur Staats, para luego confrontarlas con posiciones contrarias. El análisis crítico presentado se enmarca en la discusión acerca de los paradigmas del quehacer científico, y concluye afirmando que a la luz de la coexistencia de diferentes paradigmas en psicología, que implican diferentes nociones de realidad y de lo "psicológico", una unificación como la propuesta por Staats no parece factible. | es-ES |
| dc.description | This paper analyzes some proposals for a unification of Psychology, in particular the approach of Arthur Staats, which are contrasted with opposing views. This critical review offers a general framework about the scientific paradigms, and concludes asserting that a unification proposal, given the existence of different paradigms in Psychology, whith different concepts about what is considered “real” and “psychological”, such as those presented by Staats are not feasible. | en-US |
