| dc.description | El artículo describe y compara las redes sociales de adolescentes de dos niveles socioeconómicos. La muestra estuvo constituida por 99 jóvenes de primer y segundo año de enseñanza media de dos colegios de niveles socioeconómico bajo y dos de nivel socioeconómico alto, de comunas de la ciudad de Santiago. Se administró una versión del Inventario sobre Apoyo Social de Manaheim especialmente adaptada para adolescentes (Veiel, 1990). Se observaron diferencias significativas en las características de las redes sociales de los adolescentes de niveles socioeconómicos alto y bajo, teniendo éstos últimos redes de menor tamaño, una menor frecuencia de contacto con los miembros de su red y una menor cantidad de proveedores de apoyo social. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The article describes and compare adolescent social networks of two socioeconomic status. The sample consisted of 99 ninth and tenth graders of two schools of low socio-economic status and two schools of high socioeconomic status from Santiago. The Mannheim Inventory of Social Support, adapted to be used with adolescents (Veiel, 1990), was used. Important differences were found in the social network characteristics of adolescents of high and low socioeconomic status. Social networks of adolescents of low socioeconomic status were smaller in size, they had less frequent contact with their social network members and had less social support providers. | en-US |
