| dc.description | El presente artículo describe la situación laboral de los psicólogos que realizaron su formación de pregrado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). Los datos fueron recolectados a través de una encuesta completada por 237 psicólogos titulados entre los años 1983 y 1999. Los resultados indican que el área de especialización por la cual los alumnos optaron durante el último año de la carrera se perpetúa en el área de desempeño laboral. Además se describen los contenidos de pregrado de mayor uso en el quehacer laboral, así como los cursos previos a la especialización que reportan ser más útiles. Se destaca también la importancia del desarrollo de habilidades interpersonales para el ejercicio de la profesión. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The present article describes the occupational situation of the psychologists that received their undergraduate degree at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). The data was collected using surveys completed by 237 psychologists graduated between 1983 and 1999. The results indicate that the specialisation area chosen during the last year of studies by the students is maintained during the later occupational life. The most useful contents of the undergraduate study for professional work, as well as the modules reported to be most useful. The importance of developing interpersonal abilities during undergraduate study for professional practice is also described. | en-US |
