| dc.description | The teaching of Psychology in latinamerican universities is critically viewed and it is proposed that the introductions of Neurosciences would be helpful for a positive change. Though the Neurology of the XIX century rested fixed, with few exceptions, in the effort of searching for a link between functions and brain zones, Vigotsky proposed his theory of complex functional systems as the form of brain organization of social-cultural influences in the individual. This organization is dynamic and flexible as well as permanent. From the last fifty years, diverse techniques derived from electroencephalography and brain metabolism, confirm the functional model proposed by Vigotsky and Luria. It is an urgent task the revitalization of the study of Psychology with the incorporation of Neurosciences but also with the creativity and research spirit based on the best scientific traditions. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se reseña, críticamente, la enseñanza de la Psicología en universidades latinoamercanas y la importancia de las Neurociencias en la tarea de revitalizarla.La Neurología del siglo XIX había quedado anclada, con escasas excepciones, en la atribución de funciones específicas a diferentes zonas de la corteza cerebral. El aporte de Vigotsky, en su concepción de los sistemas funcionales complejos, anticipó la forma en que la información del entorno socio-cultural se organiza y estabiliza, dinámica y flexiblemente, en el cerebro humano.Desde la mital del siglo XX, la introdución de técnicas derivadas, unas de la electroencefalografía y otras del metabolismo cerebral, confirman el modo de trabajo cerebral, como lo anticiparon Vigotsky y Luria.Se destaca la urgencia de renovar el estudio de la Psicología, no sólo con la Neurociencias, sino un espíritu indagador y creativo, fundado en las mujeres tradiciones del método científico. | es-ES |
