dc.description	Within the context of the Cervantine criticism, new reasons are discussed in this article to consider Don Quixote as the first modern novel, from the point of view of Mijail Bakhtin writings. Cervantes's great work would not only overcome the monologic line, but more precisely it would constitute an intersection between the monologic and dialogic lines of the Universal Literature. This would be evident in the mixture of higher and lower literary genre and in the opposition between Don Quixote´s sublime and knight-like speeches and Sancho´s folk and popular speeches. This truly dialogic relationship would be based upon the intertextuality of Cervantes’swork with the Socratic dialog and the Mineppean satire of antiquity.	en-US
dc.description	Partiendo de los aportes de la crítica cervantina, se indagan las nuevas razones para considerar Don Quijote como primera novela moderna, a partir de las ideas de Mijaíl Bajtín. La gran obra de Cervantes emergería no sólo como superación de la línea monológica sino como intersección entre la línea monológica y la línea dialógica de la literatura universal. Esto se manifestaría en la conjunción de géneros altos con géneros bajos, primero, y segundo, en la interfertilización de los discursos sublimes y caballerescos de don Quijote con los discursos campesinos y populares de Sancho. Este verdadero dialogismo se basaría en la intertextualidad de la novela deCervantes con el diálogo socrático y con la sátira menipea de la antigüedad.	es-ES
