dc.description	The purpose of this study has been the identification of approaches to learning in pre degree students at Universidad Austral de Chile. A Questionnaire on Approaches to Learning and Studying of Entwistle (1993) was applied to a sample of 209 students. Results: the most adopted approach among students is the strategic one, followed by the deep and finally the superficial approach. Among the areas of study, certain tendency was detected to the preferential adoption of one approach over the others. Even though significant relationships between factors (approaches) and performance were not detected, the students adopting strategic-deep approach got better performan-ces than those who adopted other approaches.	en-US
dc.description	El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar enfoques de aprendizaje en estudiantes de pregrado de la Universidad Austral de Chile y comprobar su incidencia en el rendimiento académico. A una muestra de 209 alumnos se les aplicó el Questionnaire on Approaches to learning and studying de Entwistle (1993). Resultados: el enfoque a que más recurren los estudiantes es el estratégico, seguido por el profundo y, en tercer lugar, el superficial. Entre las áreas de estudio se detectó también cierta inclinación por la adopción preferente de un enfoque de aprendizaje más que otro. Aunque no se detectaron relaciones significativas entre factores y rendimiento, los estudiantes que adoptan enfoques estratégico-profundos obtienen rendimientos superiores a los que recurren a otros enfoques.	es-ES
