| dc.description | This essay has as aim to think about the notion of the citizenship from the political philosophy point of view. Based on the assumption of a current citizen expansion due to the important boom of the social manifestations, calling into question the liberal vision of the citizen concept. For this purpose, it is proposed a republican reading of the concept, based on the thought of three of its main exponents, that is to say, Aristotle, Arendt and Machiavelli. Posing the principal ideas about the political activity of each author –the Aristotelian bios politikos, Arendtian vita activa and Machiavellian vivere civile– in order to rescue the idea of citizenship that it is deducted from their postulates. Finally, the development of the reading of each author will let us to delineate the notion of an active citizenship, based on the “citizen moment” of the individuals’ union and the controversial emergence in the public sphere. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente ensayo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre la noción de la ciudadanía desde la filosofía política. Partiendo del supuesto de una actual expansión ciudadana debido al importante auge de manifestaciones sociales, se pone en cuestión la visión liberal del concepto de ciudadano. Para ello, se propone una lectura republicana del mismo basado en el pensamiento de tres de sus principales exponentes, a saber, Aristóteles, Arendt y Maquiavelo. Se abordan las principales ideas sobre la actividad política de cada autor –la bios politikos aristotélica, la vita activa arendtiana y el vivere civile maquiaveliano– con el fin de rescatar la idea de ciudadanía que se desprende de sus postulados. Finalmente, el desarrollo de la lectura de cada uno nos llevará a delinear la noción de ciudadanía activa, basada en el “momento ciudadano” de la agrupación de individuos y la aparición conflictiva en la esfera pública. | es-ES |
