The publication, twenty five years ago of the book Pragmatics of Human Commlffiication established á turning point, not only in the field of communication psychology, but also inother areas, such as/ami/y therapy, systemic epistemology and so on. Neverthless, in ali these years, there have been veryfew efforts oriented to a critica/ analysis of this work. The present article examines basically the most significant theorethical statements, their origins, and influences in the field.
