| dc.description | El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los resultados de un estudio de seguimiento de niños desde su ingreso a primer año básico, hasta el final dc su segundo año básico. Los niños fueron evaluados con distintas pruebas cognitivas y psicolingüísticas al momento de su ingreso a primer año básico, y reevaluados en lectura al final de su segundo año básico. Los resultados muestran que el reconocimiento del primer fonema de las palabras, el reconocimiento visual de algunos nombres propios y el conocimiento de más de 12 letras del alfabeto predicen significativamente el rendimiento de la lectura de segundo año básico y discriminan entre niños con alto y bajo rendimiento en segundo año básico. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The aim of this article is to present the results of a follow up study of children from the entry to first grade to the end of second grade. Children were assessed with several cognitivc and psycholinguistic tests at the moment of theif entry to first grade and reassessed in reading at the cnd of second grade. Phonological awareness of the first phoneme, visual knowing of the alphabetic letters and recognizing written names, predict reading and significantly differentiate between children with high and Iow performance in second grade. | en-US |
