Abstract
El presente artículo tiene como objetivo describir la percepción que tienen estudiantes de 8° Básico y 1° Medio respecto a la socialización recibida por sus padres y profesores y la relación que existe entre ambos subsistemas. Para el logro de este objetivo se realizaron cuatro grupos focales con un total de 48 estudiantes, estratificados por sexo y nivel socioeconómico (NSE). Los resultados indican que los jóvenes perciben la familia como un lugar en que reciben protección y seguridad y reclaman por mayor autonomía y confianza. Con respecto a la escuela hacen una distinción muy clara entre los profesores que les aportan para su desarrollo personal y aquéllos con los cuales tienen una relación conflictiva. En relación a la alianza familiaocuela, los estudiantes perciben que los padres participan poco. Si bien comprenden la necesidad dc que ambos sistemas se conecten, consideran necesario que los límites entre ambos sistemas permanezcan claros ya que en muchas ocasiones se sienten amenazados cuando ambos sistemas se juntan. The aim of the present article is to describe the perception that and 9th grade students have with respect to the socialization they have received from their parents and teachers, and the relation that exists between these two systems. For this purpose, four focus groups, with a total of 48 students, stratified by sex and socioeconomic level, were conducted. The results indicate that students perceive their families as a place where they protection and security, but at the same time, they claim for autonomy and trust. With respect to their teachers, they make a clcar distinction between those that contribute to their personal growth and those with whom they have a conflictive relation. With respect to family-school relationship, students perceive that parents have a Iow level of participation. Even though they understand the need for both systems 10 interact, they consider it very imponant to keep the limits between both systems clear, since they frequently feel threatened when both systems get together.
