This article reviewed some of the impact that the metaphors which emerge from the postmodern thoughts have produced in those contexts in which "changed" and "transformations" are the axes. The social transformation projects has in common with the psychotherapy field that the change (in its different methafors and analogies) is a central ingredient of their focus and the most important conversations that take place in this "social space" has the change and transformation as a main content. The dialogue about "change" included what is desired and what is not-desired; controllable and uncontrollable; certanties and uncertanties; thuths and errors; knolewdge and ignorance; order and chaos; illusions and desillusions; hopes and unhopelessness.   What might happen when these ways of describing, showing, and explaining are questioned? When are discussed the capacity of science to generate truth?   When the conversations start to include new metaphors, icons and ways of describing differences that coexist with the existent?En este artículo se revisan algunos impactos que las metáforas emergentes del pensamiento postmoderno han producido en aquellos contextos en los que "el cambio" y "la transformación" son los ejes fundamentales.  Los espacios de transformaciones sociales tienen en común con el de las psicoterapias que el cambio (en sus diferentes metáforas y analogías) es un ingrediente central de su especificidad y gran parte de los intercambios comunicativos que se producen están atravezados por estas referencias. Las conversaciones acerca del cambio incluyen lo deseado y lo indeseado; el control y el descontrol; lo externo y lo interno; certidumbres e incertidumbres; verdades y errores; saberes e ignorancias; orden y desorden; regulaciones y caos; ilusiones y desilusiones, esperanzas y desesperanzas.    ¿Qué puede suceder cuando estas maneras de describir, ilustrar y explicar son cuestionadas? ¿Cuándo se discuten las verdades de la ciencia e incluso la misma capacidad de generar verdad? ¿Cuándo las conversaciones comienzan a incluir nuevas metáforas, íconos, y modos de descripción diferentes que conviven con las existentes?
