| dc.description | The link between the concept of Social Representations and Community Psychology is a subject that seems relevant for many reasons. In this article one specific aspect is developed, that is the question: what gains Community Psychology from the concept of Social Representations- At first, a review of the central elements of both fields of research is presented. | dc.description | El vínculo entre el concepto de Representaciones Sociales y la Psicología Comunitaria es un tópico relevante desde diferentes puntos de vista. El presente trabajo se centra específicamente en uno de estos puntos de vista, cual es el de establecer qué beneficios obtiene la Psicología Comunitaria a partir del concepto y el estudio de las Representaciones Sociales. Luego de presentar elementos definitorios centrales de ambas áreas de estudio, se propone que la particular utilidad actual del concepto y estudio de las Representaciones Sociales para la Psicología Comunitaria radica en que: (a) nutre la necesaria redefinición del concepto de comunidad, (b) aporta un área de investigación necesario en Psicología Comunitaria, el de la intersubjetividad, y (c) abre un ámbito de intervención de gran relevancia actual | es-ES |
