The statement declaring that Community Social Psychology is a discipline oriented towards social transformation of reality is the staring point for a critical reflection about the conception of reality and the definition of social actors as its constructors. The analysis here presented begins with the contradiction between realism and relativism, between dualism and monism. It is argued that the cognizant subject and the known object, as well as the definition of reality as the realm in which both the subject and the object are, are inseparable. The dichotomy subject-object. the reduction to what is tangible, and linguistic reductionism, are examined, showing how the last one, excludes Other forms of human expression, particularly actions, the scope from where Community Social Psychology arises. Finally. the fleeting character of truth, which resides in those moments in which meanings are socially shared. likewise a monist, holistic and relational conception placing subjects and objects in the same sphere, in mutual construction and transformation, are presented.A partir de la afirmación de que la Psicología Social Comunitaria es una disciplina para la trasformación social de la realidad, se inicia una reflexión crítica sobre la concepción de la realidad y la definición de los actores sociales como constructores de la misma. El primer punto analizado es la contradicción entre realismo y relativismo, entre dualismo y monismo, argumentando la posición de la inseparabilidad entre sujeto cognoscente y objeto cognoscible, así como la definición de realidad como el ámbito en que el sujeto y la cosa están. Se examinan la dicotomía sujeto-objeto, la reducción de lo real a lo tangible y la reducción por el lenguaje que tiende a privilegiar esa forma de expresión, excluyendo toda otra expresión humana, en panicular la acción, ámbito en el cual nace la Psicología Social Comunitaria. Finalmente, se plantea el carácter fugaz de la verdad, residente en momentos de significados compartidos, así como una concepción monista totalizadora y relacional, que coloca a sujetos y objetos en una misma esfera, en mutua construcción y transformación, dependientes mutuamente.
