Implementing efficient energies in any public or private sector is a responsible action in any type of industry, generating savings for it, and especially for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) (Corporación Financiera Internacional,2012). Objective: to demonstrate that SMEs that invest in solar panels make an investment in the future, which will represent savings in their bimonthly expenses. Materials and method: a descriptive exploratory research was carried out using secondary sources and direct information from the object of study, made up of 20 SMEs dedicated to the industrial, commercial and service business with a maximum of ten people employed, dedicated to the grocery sector in the city of Merida, Yucatan in Mexico. Conclusion: when preparing the analysis of the useful life of the solar panel and the investment in companies, it is concluded that investing in solar panels is profitable for them, since it represents savings at the same time that they are socially responsible for the management of renewable energies in relation to pollution.Implementar energías eficientes en cualquier sector público o privado, es una acción responsable en cualquier tipo de industria, generando un ahorro a éste, y sobre todo a las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PyMEs) (Corporación Financiera Internacional,2012). Objetivo: demostrar que las PyMEs que invierten en paneles solares realizan una inversión a futuro, lo cual representará un ahorro en sus gastos bimestrales. Materiales y método: se realizó una investigación de tipo exploratoria, descriptiva y explicativa, utilizando fuentes secundarias e información directa del objeto de estudio, conformado por 20 Pymes dedicadas al giro industrial, comercial y de servicio con un máximo de diez personas empleadas, dedicadas al sector abarrotero en la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán en México.
