dc.descriptionThis paper analyzes the construction of the political and economic architecture of digital terrestrial television in Argentina andChile from two categories: the role of the State and the political parallelism. The study investigates the political dynamicsestablished in the process of development of communication policies, particularly focusing on the role of television stations of the thirdsector claiming a license to transmit legally. From a descriptive and exploratory strategy based on the comparative method, weconclude that a digital television system anchored in the same pattern of relational power between media and politics emergesin both countries, which does not allow to break the status quo.en-US
dc.descriptionEl artículo analiza la construcción de la arquitectura política y económica de la televisión digital terrestre en Argentina y Chile a partir de dos categorías de análisis: el rol del Estado y el paralelismo político. El estudio indaga sobre las dinámicas políticas que se establecen en el proceso de elaboración de las políticas de comunicación, en particular se focaliza en el papel de las televisoras del tercer sector que reclaman una licencia para transmitir en condición legal. A partir de una estrategia descriptiva y exploratoria basada en el método comparativo, se concluye que en ambos países emerge un sistema de televisión digital anclado en el mismo patrón de poder relacional entre medios y política, lo cual no posibilita quebrar el statu quoes-ES
