AD MAIOREM DEI GLORIAM: NOTAS SOBRE LA EDUCACIÓN IGNACIANA y SU APORTE EN CHILE

Abstract
This article attempts to account for the contribution that the educational proposal based on Ignatian spirituality and pedagogy has made for the Chilean educational system. To this end, the authors conducted a historical overview of how the Society of Jesus has fostered education in the world and, particularly in Chile, to then synthetically analyze the corporate documents that have marked the course of this Jesuit educational institution. Finally, they review the current status of the Ignatian education and its main foci of attention in the present. El presente artículo intenta dar cuenta de los aportes que la propuesta educativa inspirada en la espiritualidad y pedagogía ignacianas ha realizado al sistema educacional de nuestro país. Para ello, los autores realizan una síntesis histórica de lo que ha sido el impulso educativo de la Orden Religiosa Compañía de Jesús en el mundo y particularmente en Chile, para luego analizar sintéticamente los documentos corporativos que han marcado el rumbo de esa impronta educativa. Finalmente, revisan la situación actual de la educación ignaciana y sus principales focos de atención en el presente.
