The housing management materialises itself, takes form, image and identity in a process that ends in the architectural works. Influenced by our discipline to analyse expressions, we sometimes ignore the variables that take part in the decision making process. Measured through its effects, the housing architectural work expresses social and cultural, economic and financial, technological and temporal indicators. The socio-housing process is connected to the contexts where it develops, the strategies chosen for its implementation and the environment where it is inserted. How to analyse complex processes of evaluation and selection of architectural expression instruments?. If construction technology is the means by which architecture is formed and expressed, which is the role of technology as a means of expression?. Is it a synthesis of the cultural, economical, architectural and temporal decision making process?. We will try and make an attempt at determining the importance of each of the factors taking part in its definition, from the point of view of the main actors of the process.La gestión habitacional se materializa, toma forma, imagen e identidad en un proceso que culmina con la obra de arquitectura. Con tendencia disciplinar al análisis de las expresiones, algunas veces desconocemos las variables intervinientes en el proceso de toma de decisiones. Medida a través de sus efectos, la obra de arquitectura habitacional expresa indicadores de dimensión social y cultural, económica y financiera, tecnológica y temporal. El proceso socio habitacional tiene estrecha relación con el contexto desde donde se gesta, las estrategias que se seleccionan para su ejecución, y el medio en el que se inserta. Cómo analizar procesos complejos de evaluación y selección de instrumentos de expresión arquitectónica? Si la tecnología de construcción es el medio con el que se conforma y manifiesta la arquitectura, Cuál es el rol de la tecnología como vehículo de expresión? Es síntesis del proceso de toma de decisiones culturales, económicas, arquitectónicas y temporales? Intentaremos demostrar mediante el análisis de las lógicas de los actores dominantes del proceso, el peso de cada una de los factores que intervienen en su definición.
