This article has the purpose to illustrate the reader about the influence that Margaret Sanger and the International Planned Parenthood Federation have had in the promotion of birth control, and analyze if those activities have the purpose, as is it has been said, of improving the life quality of the people and the protection of the right to private life or, on the contrary, is an undercover strategy of promoting the agendas of eugenics and population control.Este artículo tiene como propósito ilustrar al lector sobre la influencia de Margaret Sanger y la International Planned Parenthood Federation en la promoción del control de la natalidad y analizar si dichas actividades se han realizado con el objetivo o, bien, de mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas y la protección del derecho a la vida privada o, por el contrario, si se trataría de una forma encubierta de impulsar agendas eugenésicas y de control de población. Por ser un tema amplio, se ha delimitado este estudio a la experiencia que, a este respecto, se ha dado en Estados Unidos y Chile.
