One of the main aspects developed by the article is the reflection on STS approach. It recaptures diverse educational perspectives located in the search of a most integral and significant teaching to overcome the theoretical approach without integrative applications, and the activism that, more than to offer significant experiences of learning, it seems only to fill the time in the school class. In a same way, it develops the topic of knowledge construction in the STS approach, and the responsibility of teachers in these processes.La reflexión sobre el enfoque CTS, constituye uno de los principales aspectos abordados por el artículo. Retoma diversas perspectivas educativas situadas en la búsqueda de una enseñanza más integral y significativa, se desea superar el teoricismo sin aplicaciones integradoras, y el activismo que, más que ofrecer experiencias significativas de aprendizaje, parece sólo llenar el tiempo en la clase escolar. De igual manera, se plantea el tema de la construcción del conocimiento en los enfoques de CTS y la responsabilidad de los docentes en estos procesos.
