| dc.description | Educational systems have been increasingly incorporating the curricular model based on the development of professional competencies; this is even more evident at the level of initial teacher training studies. However, some centres have implemented this orientation in a rather non-criticalyl, without analysing the benefits and/or limitations such proposal involves. Thus, the purpose of this article is to reflect uponthe strengths and weaknesses that incorporating this model could bring about and the possible social risks that the adoption of such model could generate in the teaching institutions and, hence, in future professionals. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los sistemas educativos han ido incorporando, cada vez con mayor frecuencia, el modelo curricular basado en el desarrollo de competencias profesionales; situación aún más clara en el nivel de la formación inicial de profesores. No obstante, algunos centros han implementado dicha orientación de una forma bastante acrítica, sin analizar las bondades y/o limitaciones que tal propuesta encierra. El propósito de este artículo, por consiguiente, es reflexionar en torno a las fortalezas y debilidades que dicha incorporación provoca y en los posibles riesgos sociales que la asunción de dicho modelo puede generar en las instituciones formativas y, por consiguiente, en los futuros profesionales. | es-ES |
