| dc.description | This study intends to reflect upon the integration of the higher education process as a strong tendency towards competence-based education is generated, this can bring both positive and negative consequences when seeking to increase graduates employability. The concepts mentioned are reviewed and a more indepth analysis is made; namely, changes in the work environment regarding the way in which work and career development are perceived, describing the integration opportunities offered by orienting educational efforts towards the attainment of a realistic personal and work identity, and to the awareness of the personal role in self-development. This in turn raises several challenges that we are currently facing in higher education in Chile. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artículo tiene como propósito reflexionar respecto de la integralidad del proceso formativo universitario en la medida que se genera una fuerte inclinación hacia la formación basada en competencias que puede traer consecuencias positivas y negativas al buscar aumentar la empleabilidad de los egresados. Se revisan los conceptos antes mencionados y se profundiza respecto de los cambios del entorno laboral en la forma de concebir el trabajo y el desarrollo laboral, describiendo las oportunidades de integración que ofrece el orientar los esfuerzos formativos hacia la consecución de una identidad laboral y personal realista, a la toma de conciencia del rol personal en el propio desarrollo, lo cual plantea una serie de desafíos a lo que actualmente estamos haciendo en la educación superior chilena. | es-ES |
