| dc.description | There is a tension between the disciplinary approach and the interdisciplinary approach in educational world nowadays. Is this tension inevitable? Can both perspectives be held? This article states that students should spend most of their time and effort to acquire domain of the discipline, but at the same time they should always be aware that the most specific issues are better approached using, simultaneously, different disciplinary perspectives. The argument is illustrated by examining a didactic unit on Nazi Germany, where students and teachers analyze different aspects involved, using historical, scientific and psychological disciplinary knowledge and methods. In this way, each disciplinary perspective was enriched through a process of deep understanding of historical events. | en-US |
| dc.description | En el mundo educacional actual existe una tensión entre el enfoque disciplinario y el interdisciplinario. ¿Es inevitable esta tensión? ¿Se pueden tener ambas perspectivas? En este artículo se sostiene que los estudiantes debieran dirigir la mayor parte de sus esfuerzos al dominio de las disciplinas, pero que debieran estar siempre conscientes de que los problemas más específicos son mejor abordados usando en forma simultánea los distintos objetivos disciplinarios. Se ilustra el argumento mediante el examen de una unidad didáctica sobre la Alemania nazi, en la que profesores y estudiantes analizan los diversos factores involucrados en el tema, tomando conocimientos disciplinarios y metodológicos de la historia, la ciencia, la psicología enriqueciéndose de este modo cada perspectiva disciplinaria a través de un proceso de comprensión profunda. | es-ES |
