dc.descriptionLas organizaciones deben velar porque sus áreas de trabajo estén integradas y los procesos que realicen apunten a los objetivos organizacionales. Históricamente se ha presentado un conflicto entre las áreas de producción y de mantenimiento, ya que cada una de estas áreas prioriza objetivos que en la mayoría de los casos no son coherentes con los objetivos globales de la organización. De esta manera, se pretenden determinar si existen componentes de articulación entre la gestión del mantenimiento con las estrategias de fabricación; a partir del análisis de información primaria, recolectada con herramientas metodológicas diseñadas por expertos de la Universidad Autónoma de Manizales y validada mediante prueba piloto. Se confirma como las estrategias de flexibilidad, a las que recurren las organizaciones con el fin de responder a las demandas y variaciones del mercado, presentan una asociación estadística con la forma como se direcciona la gestión del mantenimiento, de manera que, los cambios de la producción estén acordes con las funciones del mantenimiento. A nivel general, se puede apreciar que las empresas que tienen una gestión del mantenimiento implementada tienen en cuenta las características de la gestión de la producción, como es el caso de las configuraciones de flujo lineal que requieren un mantenimiento con el mínimo tiempo de preparación de las máquinas.es-ES
dc.descriptionOrganizations must ensure that their work areas are integrated and the processes they carry out are aimed at organizational objectives. Historically there has been a conflict between the production and maintenance areas, since each of these areas prioritizes objectives that in most cases are not consistent with the overall objectives of the organization. In this way, it is intended to determine if there are articulation components between maintenance management and manufacturing strategies; from the analysis of primary information, collected with methodological tools designed by experts of the Universidad Autónoma de Manizales and validated by pilot test. It is confirmed how the flexibility strategies, to which organizations resort to respond to the demands and variations of the market, present a statistical association with the way maintenance management is directed, so that production changes are in accordance with the functions of maintenance. A general level, it can be seen that companies that have a maintenance management implemented take into account the characteristics of production management, as is the case of linear flow configurations that require maintenance with the minimum machine setup time.en-US
