| dc.description | The democratization of ICTs has changed everyday practices to the point of transcending to the political level. This became evident in the Spanish State withthe emergence of the 15-M camps, where part of the population established a decentralized social model inspired by the principles of the hacker counterculture that emerged with the development of the Internet. But for this to be possible, a common citizen aesthetic had first to take shape as a result of the new possibilities offered by the uses of ICTs. With aspirations to change the representative democratic system for a new participatory democratic system, around 15-M many practices typical of networked structures were taken to the urban level. However, although this image managed to permeate the conception of new political forces and through them reach the institutional level, it did not manage to become effective. | en-US |
| dc.description | La democratización de las TIC ha cambiado las prácticas cotidianas hasta el punto de trascender al plano de lo político. Esto se hizo evidente en el Estado español con la irrupción de las acampadas del 15-M, donde parte de la población estableció un modelo social descentralizado inspirado en los principios de la contracultura hacker que surgió con el desarrollo de internet. Pero para que esto fuera posible, antes tuvo que ir tomando forma una estética ciudadana común fruto de las nuevas posibilidades ofrecidas por los propios usos de las TIC. Con aspiraciones a cambiar el sistema democrático representativo por un nuevo sistema democrático participativo, en torno del 15-M se llevaron al plano urbano numerosas prácticas propias de las estructuras en red. Sin embargo, y a pesar de que esta imagen logró permear en la concepción de nuevas fuerzas políticas y mediante ellas alcanzar el plano institucional, no consiguió hacerse efectiva. | es-ES |
