| dc.description | This paper analyses, by means of geomorphological photointerpretation the deposites which cover the Pampa O'Brien (a sector of the Pampa del Tamarugal, Province oí Tarapacá, Chile). The deposites originate from the nearby gorges oí Aroma, Quebrada Seca, Tarapacá and Quipisca. These gorges, when opening at the pampa level, form extensive influence areas in which it is possible to observe and distinguish sectors oí ancient sedimentation and recent erosion and accumulation processes. Both old and more recent agricultural areas have been established precisely upon accumulation zones belonging to the Middle Quaternary. The maps show the position oí the agricultural plots among the dif:ferent influence areas. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este trabajo analiza, por medio de la íotointepretación geomorfológica, los materiales que han rellenado la Pampa O'Brien (Sector de la Pampa del Tamarugal, Provincia de 'farapacá, Chile) procedentes de los aportes de las quebradas de Aroma Quebrada Seca, Tarapacá y Quipisca. Estas quebradas! al desembocar en el nivel de la Pampa, han formado áreas de influencia determinadas, en las cuales es posible detectar sectores de sedimentación antigua, y sectores de erosión, y acumulación, producto de avenidas recientes. Las áreas antiguas y modernas de cultivo se han establecido, precisamente, en las zonas de acumulación del Cuaternario Medio. Los mapas señalan la posición de los terrenos agrícolas en las diferentes zonas de influencia. | es-ES |
