dc.description	The author examines the meaning of a singular group of 19 stanzas, taken from the songs to the Virgin Mary, performed by groups of religious dances in the Norte Grande of Chile, on the occasion of their pilgrimages. All of them present, as last verse, one of enigmatic character: "keep (or achieve) the flower".   The author discovers that behind the Virgin Mother, who is openly invoked, is hidden the concept of the indigenous deity Pacha Mama, or Mother Earth. In this particular case, the "flower" represents vegetation, and the general meaning of the invocation is a request for fertility for the new vegetation cycle (agriculture and pastures).	en-US
dc.description	El autor examina el significado de un grupo singular de 19 estrofas, tomadas de los cantos a la Virgen María, que ejecutan conjuntos de bailes religiosos en el Norte Grande de Chile, con motivo de sus peregrinaciones. Todas ellas presentan, como último verso, uno de carácter enigmático: "guarda (o logra) la flor".  El autor descubre que tras la Virgen Madre, a quien se invoca abiertamente, se oculta el concepto de la deidad indígena Pacha Mama, o Madre Tierra. En este caso concreto, la "flor" representa a la vegetación, y el sentido general de la invocación es una petición de fertilidad para el nuevo ciclo vegetacional (agricultura y pastizales).	es-ES
