| dc.description | The chilean population has had an important varÍLItionduring the 1940-1952. By this time the urban population becomes predominant. and in 1982 is higher than 82%. It is of great importance to understand the variation that ocurred between the census 1970 and 1982 in the different urban categories: cities. towns. and villages, in the national and regionallevels.
