| dc.description | This paper stresses the need to create a socially appropriate technology for solving the housing problem of the poorest sector in the developing countries. It states that the actions must be centered upon the people in need, rather in the rentability and productivity of the system. People should have the opportunity to participate in the process so as to contribute to its development and carrying it out. Social growth is not only motivated by material interest but cultural and spiritual aspects are essential. This paper proposes the rationalization of the development process and the selection of applied techniques within the normal productive systems as well as the creation of constructive systems and new materials capable of absorbing resources and non conventional inputs. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo sustenta la necesidad de crear una tecnología socialmente apropiada para solucionar el problema habitacional de los sectores más precarios de la población, en los países en vías de desarrollo. Señala que esta acción debe estar centrada en las personas necesitadas, más que en la rentabilidad y productividad del sistema, abriéndoles oportunidades de participar dentro del proceso, a fin de contribuir a su realización y desarrollo. Hace ver que el crecimiento social no se orienta únicamente por intereses materiales, sino que los factores culturales y espirituales son imprescindibles. Postula a una racionalización del proceso de desarrollo y de selección de técnicas aplicadas dentro de los sistemas productivos corrientes, como también, a la creación de sistemas constructivos y materiales nuevos, capaces de absorber recursos e insumos no convencionales. | es-ES |
