| dc.description | This paper deals with the organized illegal appropriation of land which resulted in illegal squatters in Santiago-Chile during the 60's and 70's. The hypothesis being that such illegal squatters are originally the result of a social movement, which then becomes political and is essentially different to other initiatives by the homeless in their search for a solution to their housing problem. This has meant the creation of settlements in the outskirts of the city. | en-US |
