The present article in concern with the origin and intended to elucidate the nature of the human rights from the analysis of the Declaration of the Rights of the Man and the Citizen, and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. t has as estimated that these important documents if base on the liberal principles, and if they constitute with the base of the Declaration of the Rights of the Men, of 1948, ONU.O presente artigo trata da origem e busca elucidar a natureza dos direitos humanos a partir da análise da Declaração dos Direitos do Homem e do Cidadão, e da Declaração de Independência dos Estados Unidos da América. Tem como pressuposto que estes importantes documentos se fundamentam nos princí­pios liberais, e se constituem como a base da Declaração dos Direitos dos Homens, de 1948, da ONU.
