dc.descriptionThis article partially describes the results of a study carried out in 2001 altogether with the three Departments that then constituted the ex- Faculty of Social Sciences of the Catholic University Cardenal Raul Silva Henrí­quez, that is to say, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work. This study was developed in coordination with the Catholic University of Lovaina, Belgium, and it became part of a larger research program whose fundamental goal was to know, through the version of the same professionals, the impact that the social transformations of the last decades have had on the identity of the professions of "the social aspect" . Our objective is to present here the data referred to the profession of Social Work, describing the results obtained from the completion of two groups of discussion, which had as participants Social Workers of different ages and generations.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artí­culo describe parcialmente los resultados de una investigación llevada a cabo en el año 2001 en conjunto con los tres departamentos que entonces constituí­an la ex Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Católica Cardenal Raúl Silva Henrí­quez, a saber, Psicologí­a, Sociologí­a y Trabajo Social. Este estudio se desarrolló en coordinación con la Universidad Católica de Lovaina, Bélgica y se inscribe al interior de un programa de investigación mayor cuyo propósito fundamental fue conocer, a través del discurso de los propios profesionales, el impacto que las transformaciones sociales de las últimas décadas, han tenido sobre la identidad de las profesiones de "lo social". Nuestro objetivo es presentar aquí­ los datos referidos a la profesión de Trabajo Social, describiendo los resultados obtenidos a partir de la realización de dos grupos de discusión, los cuales tuvieron como participantes a Trabajadores Sociales de distintas edades y generaciones.es-ES
