This article is enclosed, along with the test of Nora Aquin published in this edition of the Perspectives Magazine, within the framework of the activities organized by the Department of Social Work of the Universidad Católica Silva Henrí­quez, on the occasion of the celebration of the Social Assistant's day in November 2005, which had as the central issue what we know as the New Social Issue. As it is referred to in the editorial column, this text was presented in a seminar organized by the Department of Social Work and was preceded by the performance of the Cantata Santa Marí­a de Iquique.Este artí­culo se inscribe, junto con el texto de Nora Aquí­n publicado en este número de la Revista Perspectivas, en el marco de las actividades organizadas por el Departamento de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Católica Silva Henrí­quez, con motivo de celebrarse el dí­a del Asistente Social, en noviembre de 2005 y que tuvo como tema central lo que conocemos como la Nueva Cuestión Social. Tal como se señala en la Editorial, este texto fue presentado en un seminario organizado a la ocasión por el Departamento de Trabajo Social y fue antecedido por la ejecución de la Cantata Santa Marí­a de Iquique.
