dc.descriptionThe following article presents some reflections on the characteristics of the social question's new manifestations, a multidimensional phenomenon whose causes derive from the current model of neoliberal development. Consequently, we analyze how the state responses to environmental and social inequalities failbecause they are framed under a systemic structure of excessive focus and subsidiarity, which strains the relationship between state and society and whose most recent examples are evident in situations such as the social explosion of 2019 and the current pandemic of COVID-19. Based on theoretical contributions fromsocial work, in dialogue with sociology, it is proposed that the social issue needs new understandings to validate the various situations of precariousness in Chilean society. The above is presented under a methodology that recognizes a historical look at the relationship between social issues and the development model.en-US
dc.descriptionEl siguiente artí­culo presenta algunas reflexiones acerca de las caracterí­sticas de las nuevas manifestaciones de la cuestión social, fenómeno multidimensional cuyas causas derivan del actual modelo de desarrollo neoliberal. Se analiza, en consecuencia, cómo las respuestas estatales ante las desigualdades ambientales y sociales, fracasan por estar enmarcadas bajo una estructura sistémica de excesiva focalización y subsidiaridad, que tensiona las relaciones Estado-sociedad y cuyos ejemplos más recientes se hacen patentes ante situaciones como el estallido social de 2019 y la actual pandemia de COVID-19. A partirde aportes teóricos provenientes del trabajo social, en diálogo con la sociologí­a, se plantea que la cuestión social necesita de nuevas comprensiones como medio para validar las variadas situaciones de precariedad en la sociedad chilena. Lo anterior se presenta bajo una metodologí­a que reconoce también una mirada histórica sobre la relación entre cuestión social y modelo de desarrollo.es-ES
