The article tries to discuss the transformations that are happening in the sexual and affective life of the Chilean young from a psycosocial point of view. The sexuality would be in a transition, from a model centered mainly in certain rules, to another one in which, without avoiding the rules where these have been deeply modified, becoming diversified, flexible or even more rigid. It is discussed that this change centered in the sexual initiation, using information diverse existing information in Chile on the topic.El artículo intenta discutir las transformaciones que están acaeciendo en la vida sexual y afectiva de los jóvenes chilenos desde una perspectiva psicosocial. La sexualidad estaría en transición desde un modelo centrado en ciertas normas, hacia otro, en que, sin renunciar a las normas, éstas se han transformado intensamente, ya sea diversificándose, flexibilizándose o, incluso, rigidizándose. Se discute este cambio concentrándose en el inicio sexual, usando diversos datos existentes en Chile sobre el tema.O artigo tenta examinar as transformações que estão ocorrendo na vida sexual e afetiva dos jovens chilenos, a partir de uma perspectiva psicosocial.
