The present investigation seeks to show the fundamental reasons considered by G.E.M. Anscombe to defend the thesis according to which the development of a theory of intentional action is a matter conceptually previous to the solution of a certain task in the sphere of ethics, namely the precise determination of the moral quality of actions. The defense of this thesis is carried out in the following moments: first, by thematizing what I will call the conceptual anteriority in general of the development of a theory of action. Secondly, by thematizing the Anscombian valorization of Aristotle's virtue ethics, in which she sees a good example of the development of a theory of action that would allow the correct accomplishment of the task of ethics, emphasizing the sense of the conceptual stipulation of the term "moral" in Aristotle. Thirdly and finally, by thematizing the Anscombe's reasons for specifically developing a theory of intentional action.La presente investigación busca aclarar las razones fundamentales consideradas por G.E.M. Anscombe para defender la tesis según la cual el desarrollo de una teoría de la acción intencional es una tarea conceptualmente anterior a la de la ética o filosofía moral. La aclaración de dicho asunto opera en las siguientes etapas: 1) Es presentada la tesis anscombeana relativa a la anterioridad conceptual de la teoría de la acción respecto de la ética y es expuesto el material sistemático que permite hacerla inteligible. 2) Es interpretada la tesis de la anterioridad conceptual conforme al material sistemático expuesto y es, por ende, presentada la especificidad con que es introducida dicha tesis. 3) Se expone el modoen que la propia teoría de la acción de Anscombe es capaz de satisfacer la tarea que ella misma se ha puesto como una forma, también, de dar cuenta de la tesis de la anterioridad conceptual.
