Inside the dramatic world of Egon Wolf, social playacting establishes itself as a major theme. Its multiple and diverse modes of representation in his extensive dramaturgy could be summarized in two, appearing with different mances and combination throughout his work. On the one hand, they become the fundament of the ritual conventions of the commonplace acts of the characters, with the function of dissembling and self protection in front of the social reality which is perceived as hostile. In this case, playacting is a resource intended to neutralize and manipulate the other for personal benefit through masking strategies; but also the ludic element appears with creative and libertarian characteristics that are the character's own, as an option for authenticity.El tema del juego tiene un lugar importante en la obra de Egon Wolff. Sus muy diversos modos de actualización en la extensa dramaturgia de este autor pueden sintetizarse en dos, que aparecen a lo largo de su producción con distintos matices y combinaciones. Por una parte, fundamenta las convenciones rituales de la cotidianeidad de los personajes, con funciones de disimulo y protección ante la realidad social que éstos perciben hostil. En este caso, el juego constituye un recurso para neutralizar y manipular al otro en beneficio propio, mediante el enmascaramiento. Pero también lo lúdico aparece con las características libertarias y creativas que le son propias, presentándose como una opción autentificadora.
