Este trabajo explora las condiciones textuales que manifiestan la especificidad de la escritura de Juan Emar en el cuento "Maldito gato" (en Diez, 1937). Dicho cuento oscila entre el realismo de corte paródico y la metafísica. Por un lado, el recurso paródico llevado al extremo deviene en hiperrealismo. Por el otro, la metafísica especulativa construye un doble ("un espejo") del universo. Así, ambos aspectos constituyen una estética carnavalizada: el desdoblamiento enmascaramiento del yo discursivo en parodia que corona y destrona el sistema realista, y el continuo desdoblamiento del sujeto enunciante, situado en el "umbral" de las cuestiones límites, como diría Bajtín, lo que lo lleva a la renuncia del ser personal para pasar a considerarse un "elemento" de un cosmos "otro". This study explores the textual conditions manifesting the specificity of Emar's writing in his short story "Maldito Gato" (in Diez, 1937). The story itself moves between a realism of parodic intention and the metaphyical. On one side, the former, taken to the extreme, becomes hyperrealism. On the other, the speculative metaphysics: with the splitting or the masking of the discursive self in parody, which crowns as well as dethrones the realistic system, and the continuous splitting of the narrator -placed at the threshold of the limit question, in Bakhtin's view- which takes it to the break down of the individual self to become just an element of a foreign "cosmos".
