A partir de una interpretación del poema, "La poesía", del "Memorial de Isla Negra" de Pablo Neruda, se intenta determinar la poética no teorizada, pero implícita y actuante en dicho poema. El resultado de esto permite establecer tres momentos en la creación poética: en primer lugar, la experiencia prepoética o "el llamado" desde lo otro; en segundo lugar, el advenimiento de la palabra y, finalmente, la síntesis originaria de hombre y ser, que es, a la vez, la determinación del ser del hombre (libertad) y la determinación de la esencia de la poesía. Based on an interpretation of the poem "La Poesía", from Pablo Neruda's "Memorial de Isla Negra", the non theorized, but implicit and working, poetics of this poem are analyzed. Three moments in poetic creation are established: First, the prepoetic experience, or, "the call"; the secondly the coming of the word, and finally, the originating syntheteis of man and being, that is, the determination of man's being (liberty) and the determination of the poem's essence.
