| dc.description | La tempestad de Giorgione, figura como uno de los cuadros más enigmáticos de toda la Historia del Arte, porque ignorándose el texto en que se funda, experimentó gran número de interpretaciones. En el presente trabajo se adopta como punto de partida para explicar esta pintura Las bacantes, de Eurípedes, en la que se encuentran los elementos, las circunstancias y los personajes que aparecen en la escena pintada. Este hallazgo permite atribuirle al cuadro un significado que hasta ahora se mantenía oculto.La tempestad, by Giorgione, is one the most enigmatic paintings in the history of art, because ignoring the text on which it is based, it has had a great many interpretations. This article takes The Bacchae, by Euripides, as a starting point to explain this painting since the elements, circunstances and characters which appaer in the painted scene are found in this work. A meaning which until now remained hidden can now be attributed to the painting. | es-ES |
