The project proposes to show the community the constructive processes of building a ship by displaying a sectioned ship having as a main objective to strengthen and develop the link between the city and its naval identity. The museum rescues and gives an added value to the Piloto Pardo Ship being the first ship constructed in Chile which is in a state of deterioration and abandonment. The strategy to exhibit the Ship is achieved by breaking it into parts, to disassemble the ship into its 4 most important parts (Blocks): Bow, Storage, Home, Machine. This way it is possible to show what is never seen from a ship, its interior, its structure and intern functioning, its guts. There are no public fluvial spaces in Valdivia, the project responds to the need having in mind the river as the main public space in Valdivia celebrating with a building that provides a covered space, which detonates cultural activities, recreational, and also activities related to navigation.El proyecto propone mostrar a la comunidad los procesos constructivos de los barcos mediante la exhibición de un barco seccionado, teniendo como principal objetivo el fortalecimiento y desarrollo del vínculo de la ciudad con su identidad naviera. El Museo rescata y pone en valor al Barco Piloto Pardo siendo el primer barco construido en Chile, el cual se encuentra en estado de abandono y deterioro crítico. La estrategia de diseño para exhibir el barco corresponde al desguace de éste, es decir, seccionar el barco en sus 4 partes principales (bloques): Proa, Bodega, Hogar y Maquina. De esta forma se logra mostrar lo que nunca se ve de un barco, su interior, su estructura y funcionamiento interno, sus entrañas. En Valdivia no existe espacio público fluvial, el proyecto responde a esta necesidad entendiendo el río como el principal espacio público de la ciudad, celebrándolo con un edificio que brinda un espacio cubierto detonante de actividades culturales, recreativas y de navegación.
