En este artículo se analizan los elementos comunes y divergentes de Imagen (Diego) y Poemas Árticos (Huidobro). Para ello, advertimos que Diego utiliza más imágenes plásticas, lingüísticas, que Huidobro. Aplicando las teorías del inglés Richards, éstas se denominan "asociadas" (tied) y permiten ver la crítica a las costumbres burguesas de la época. Sin dejar de lado su tradición, Diego se aproximó a Huidobro -como fue señalado, pioneramente, por Cansinos-Assens- y aprehendió el tipo de imaginería creacionista, patentizando, además, imágenes "libres" tan propias de las ambiciones huidobrianas. Esta proximidad fue adecuada, pues era necesario insertar a España en las nuevas tendencias. Quien entendió eso, críticamente, además de Cansinos-Assens fue principalmente, Dámaso Alonso. This article analyzes the common and divergent elements of Imagen (Diego) and Poemas Árticos (Huidobro). It is observed that Diego uses more plastic images than Huidobro. Applying the theories of the English critic Richards, these are called "tied" images and they allow criticism of the bourgeois customs of the time to be seen. Without omitting his tradition, Diego approached Huidobro -as was pointed out first by Cansinos-Assens- and learned the creationist imagery type, also making evident 'free" images belonging to the Huidobrean ambitions. This approach was enough, since it was necessary to insert Spain into the new tendencies. The person who understood this, critically, aside from Cansinos-Assens, was, mainly, Dámaso Alonso.
