dc.descriptionThis article deals with the way Julio Cortázar used the poetics of the fantastic in two of his stories to give an account of the repressive mechanics of enforced disappearance in Argentina. He “translated to sensitive” the reports presented by various organizations and collectives of Human Rights in which Cortázar had participated, and in which the nature and functioning of the disappearing power in the military dictatorships of the Southern Cone was described in detail. In “Second time” and “Graffiti” Cortázar explored the possibilities of a non-standardized representation of political repression, which captured the paradoxical and dislocating character of the disappearance and alluded, in a complex way, to the profound affective and social impact of the policies of forced disappearance.en-US
dc.descriptionSe analiza la forma en que Julio Cortázar utilizó la poética de lo fantástico en dos de sus relatos breves para dar cuenta de la mecánica represora de la desaparición forzada en Argentina, “traduciendo a lo sensible” las conclusiones y análisis presentados por diversas organizaciones y colectivos de Derechos Humanos en las que Cortázar había participado, y en las que se describía pormenorizadamente la naturaleza y el funcionamiento del poder desaparecedor en las dictaduras militares del Cono Sur. En “Segunda vez” y “Graffiti”, Cortázar exploró las posibilidades de una representación no estandarizada de la represión política, que capturara el carácter paradójico y dislocador de la desaparición y consiguiera aludir, de un modo complejo, al profundo impacto afectivo y social de las políticas de desaparición forzada.es-ES
