Abstract
This article states the very interesting experience related with CIDERE Bío-Bío. CIDERE is a private corporation created 20 years ago with the main objective of promoting an integral development of the geographical area covered by the provinces of Arauco, Bio-Bio, Concepción, Malleco and Ñuble. This institution is integrated by universities, industries and banks established in this area and has had a great success in promoting and identifyng small scale projects. The experience could serve as a regional development model.
