| dc.description | Remote sensing using aerial or satellite images represents an interesting alternative to the traditional manual procedures used for agricultural inventory by incorporating automatic processes. This paper presents an inference system for olive grove detection using aerial photographs. The system is inspired by a recent memory-prediction theory and models of high-level architecture of the human neocortex. This paper describes the hierarchical architecture and recognition performance of this Bayesian model. Results indicate that 95% of the olive groves are detected by using images obtained from a photogrammetric sensor. It is concluded that the automatic process developed can be easily integrated into the final user's Geographical Information System and produces useful information for olive grove management. | en-US |
| dc.description | La teledetección a partir de imágenes aéreas o de satélite ofrece una interesante alternativa a lostradicional es procedimientos manuales para el inventariado agrícola, incorporando procesos automáticos. Este artículo presenta un sistema de inferencia para la detección de olivar con fotografíasaéreas digitales. El sistema se inspira en la reciente teoría memoria-predicción y en los modelos de arquitectura de alto nivel de la neocorteza humana. El documento describe la arquitectura jerárquica y el reconocimiento de la actuación de este modelo Bayesiano. Los resultados indican que se logra detectar el 95% de las parcelas utilizando un fotograma procedente de un sensor fotogramétrico. Se concluye que el proceso automático desarrollado puede ser integrado fácilmente en el Sistema de Información Geográfica del usuario final y produce información útil para la gestión del olivar. | es-ES |
