| dc.description | This paper examines the role played by some of the Argentine exiles during the regime of Juan Manuel de Rosas (1829-1952) based on primary and secondary sources. Actors whom, from the platform that the press allowed them, and the support of influential Chilean politicians, managed to contribute to the distancing and cooling of Chilean-Argentine relations. Indeed, from their particular recreations of the local reality, their respective matrix of meaning, and their own hatreds against the Rosas regime, they managed to intervene in the perception that Chilean politics had of the Argentine regime and in specific political actions that ended up straining bilateral relations. | en-US |
| dc.description | En base a fuentes primarias y secundarias, se examina el rol que tuvieron algunos de los exiliados argentinos por el régimen de Juan Manuel de Rosas (1829-1852), actores que desde la tribuna que les permitió la prensa y los apoyos de influyentes políticos chilenos, lograron contribuir al distanciamiento y al enfriamiento de las relaciones chileno-argentinas. En efecto, desde sus particulares recreaciones de la realidad local, de su respectiva matriz de sentido, y de sus propias animadversiones contra el régimen de Rosas, lograron intervenir en la percepción que la política chilena tuvo sobre el régimen argentino y en ciertas acciones de política externa que terminaron por tensar las relaciones bilaterales. | es-ES |
