Biopolitics today has acquired a capital importance in the research field because it has become a key topic to understand our world today and, therefore, 'public affairs'. A few years ago, it was a exclusive term, limited to scholars. Today more and more areas of knowledge have to use its analytical tools to provide a holistic view of social phenomenon. There will, no doubt, an increasing hybridization between humanistic and technological knowledges and one of its connecting links will biopolitics. This article presents two joints: an initial retrospective about the advances contributed by several authors in the field and the concept of biopolitics and, subsequently, the proposal for a greater deepening of an existing way in biopolitics, but under prospectivist parameters: the interface between this one and the (super-) economic structure, especially in crisis situations, and to foster new social processes, reducing tensions.La biopolítica ha adquirido en nuestros días una importancia capital en el ámbito investigador puesto que se ha convertido en materia clave para entender nuestro mundo de hoy y, por ende, �la cosa pública'. Hace algunos años, era un término exclusivista, circunscrito a eruditos. Actualmente cada vez más áreas de conocimiento han de recurrir a sus herramientas analíticas para ofrecer una visión holística del fenómeno social. Existirá, sin duda, una hibridación cada vez mayor entre saberes humanísticos y tecnológicos y uno de sus nexos de unión será la biopolítica. El presente artículo presenta dos articulaciones: una inicial retrospectiva sobre los avances aportados por los diversos autores en el ámbito y concepto de biopolítica y, subsiguientemente, la propuesta de un mayor ahondamiento en una vía ya existente en biopolítica, pero bajo parámetros prospectivistas: la interrelación entre ésta y la (súper-)estructura económica, en especial en situaciones de crisis, y propiciar así los nuevos procesos sociales para reducir tensiones.
