La escritura y el dibujo son para Le Corbusier las “herramientas” fundamentales que utiliza para el desarrollo de su pensamiento, pero también son los “instrumentos” de difusión que utiliza en sus publicaciones y conferencias. Le Corbusier dibujó durante toda su vida y practicó sus diversas formas, tales como el croquis de observación, los esquemas, y las exploraciones formales grá cas. Este artículo se re ere a sus dibujos y a rma que el proceso que hemos llamado “cadenas de construcción de pensamiento,” se explica a través del uso del croquis de observación, el que permite grabar en su memoria la información sintética de los fenómenos observados; de los esquemas que sintetizan sus ideas; y de los dibujos de experimentación formal que usa para explorar las formas arquitectónicas de sus proyectos.Palabras clave: Le Corbusier, dibujo, croquis de observación, desarrollo de pensamiento, instrumento de difusión.AbstractWriting and drawing are the fundamental tools Le Corbusier uses for the development of his thought, but they are also the instruments of dissemination he uses in his conferences and publications. Le Corbusier drew throughout his life, practicing its various forms, such as observation sketches, schematic drawings, and formal graphical explorations. This article is about the Le Corbusier’s different types of drawings, and states that the process we call “the construction of chains of thinking” is explained through (1) the use of the observation sketch, which creates a synthetic memory of the observed phenomena; (2) the schematic drawing that is used to synthesize Le Corbusier’s ideas; and (3) the experimentation of formal graphics, which serves to explore the different architectonic shapes of his projects.Keywords: Le Corbusier, drawing, observation sketch, thought development, dissemination tool.
