Abstract
A synthesis of the exploratory study of textiles is presented through the iconography painted on ceramic vessels of the Chilean Diaguita culture, distinguishing a feature that corresponds to the neckline of a shirt or blanket with a decorated band arranged horizontally under the apex of the neck. This clothing feature was also identified in shirts from archaeological sites of the Angualasto culture in San Juan, Argentina, providing possible technical evidence for the reconstruction of the textiles used by Chilean diaguitas, of which there is no information in the archaeological record in Chile.
