The opening of borders in an increasingly globalized world facilitates the mobility of people and favors the migratory scenario. One of the main reasons for this mobility corresponds to socioeconomic reasons that drive the economically active population to seek better job opportunities and the generation of employment and income to promote their well-being and that of their family. Thus, associated with labor reasons, a great concern that arises when dealing with human mobility is access to the benefits and services of social security systems. Faced with this scenario, this article discusses the migratory phenomenon in Brazil and the problems associated with the guarantee of the fundamental socio-right to social security for the migrant population through an exploratory and descriptive research, using qualitative and quantitative variables in order to argue on how the architecture of social security could face these problems of the globalized world.La apertura de fronteras en un mundo cada vez más globalizado facilita la movilidad de personas y favorece el escenario migratorio. Una de las principales causas de esta movilidad corresponde a razones socioeconómicas que impulsan a la población económicamente activa a buscar mejores oportunidades de trabajo y generación de empleo y renta para la promoción de su bienestar y el de su familia. Así, asociada a las razones laborales, una gran preocupación que surge con esta movilidad humana es el acceso a los beneficios y servicios de los sistemas de seguridad social. Frente a este escenario, este artículo discute el fenómeno migratorio en Brasil y los problemas asociados a la garantía del derecho sociofundamental a la seguridad social para la población migrante por medio de una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, utilizándose variables cualitativas y cuantitativas con la finalidad de argumentar sobre cómo la arquitectura de la seguridad social podría enfrentar estos problemas del mundo globalizado.
